In conversation with Shivani Pau for her podcast 'A Millennial Mind', malavika talks about the worst phase of her life when her family lost all their money and how they only survived after her father left. Lived in a one-bedroom apartment.
She said, "We had a lot of money, it could have made me a very different person, but we lost it all and when I say 'all', it's like you were rich and now you're poor. When I was 21, Dad moved. We lived in a four-bedroom, then we moved to a three-bedroom, but couldn't afford the rent. Then we moved to a one-room apartment, mom on the floor But slept, my brother slept on the sofa, another brother on the floor, I was on the bed and then I started my YouTube career.
Malvika said about moving from 4 bedroom house to 1 bedroom apartment. malavika could not understand what was happening in her life. Losing everything from a four-room house to a one-room flat, life took a complete turn for them with no clue as to where their father had gone. malavika said, “Recalling those tough times, I told my brother, 'Please give me some time, there is a lot to do in content creating.' I got an opinion from family members that you should do a job. I remember I had a ring light that I could afford. Once I used to switch off the camera and then cry, I used to be so paranoid thinking why am I here? I touched 100k subscribers on my YouTube channel in that one-bedroom apartment.
Malvika Sheetlani talks about separation
Talking about their separation, Malvika shared, "I never thought that I would be here, as we have been childhood companions, so it was difficult to take this step. We were public and it is very difficult for any public figure. Far more difficult. I couldn't openly create content because I knew something huge was happening. When I announced it on social media, there was a lot of support, which made me feel lighter."
