In an effort to make every shot heavenly and fanciful, the sights appear entirely fabricated and shaky. The subpar VFX work is displayed in the conflict scenes and the empire visuals. The features in numerous moments in the second half have pronounced yellow undertones and appear lifeless and pallid.

The mythological tale of Shakuntala and her love affair with king Dushyanta cannot be changed or altered by a filmmaker to make it more or less interesting. The key is to present it in an engaging manner with excellent images and language. Sadly, Shaakuntalam gives us the story in the most uninteresting way imaginable.

The ashram setting, king Dushyanta's bravery, and Shakuntala's life are all prominent themes in the first part of Shaakuntalam. The realistic graphics work in the ashram is mediocre. It more closely resembles following along with a stylized cartoon. The first half's action scenes and the second half's war scenes both seem silly. Before the release, samantha said this is a Disney-style movie and she is happy to be part of such a movie. Fans troll using the same video and ask her why she lies shamelessly when the whole movie is a crap.
