Denise Richards, who plays love interest Dr. christmas Jones on The World Is Not Enough, admits that some cruel jeering was directed at her because of her appearance in the james bond movie. The World Is Not Enough, which was released in 1999, was Pierce Brosnan's penultimate james bond film and follows Bond as he tries to avert a fatal nuclear assault. Richards' Jones, an American nuclear physicist who later joins Bond in his fight against terrorist Renard (Robert Carlyle), is a character he meets on his globe-trotting trip.

Richards recalled receiving jeers for her portrayal of Jones in The World Is Not Enough in a recent interview with Variety. The performer claims that the extremely sexualized nature of her nuclear scientist portrayal was a particular cause of the mockery.

She said, "I was heartbroken that people were laughing at me. Oops, really? You're a nuclear scientist, yet you're wearing shorts? I'm a Bond girl in the play. "If I had worn a lab coat, trousers, and a suit, [fans] would have been upset, asking, 'Okay, why isn't she looking like a sexy Bond girl?'" Stay tuned with us for more updates.
