The most anticipated mythological drama Adipurush is set to premiere in less than a week, and excitement among moviegoers is already high. Early ticket sales started in a few international areas and had a remarkable reaction. It follows that prabhas and Om Raut's Magnum Opus is projected to enjoy extraordinary openings in its home market. Adipurush won't be accessible in IMAX format, which would be frustrating for Prabhas's fans and other normal viewers.

Adipurush initially came in an IMAX format in addition to 2D and 3D formats. But this scheme is now abandoned. The developers of Adipurush, one of the most fantastical films ever produced in India, reportedly thought that an IMAX release would be appropriate for such a big production.

However, it's been reported that this plan had to be shelved owing to a clash with the release date of The Flash, a superhero movie from Warner Bros. Since two films cannot be released simultaneously on IMAX screens, it appears that Flash had reserved the IMAX screens well in advance. As a result, it was necessary to reverse the decision to distribute Adipurush on IMAX screens.

The original release date for Adipurush was january 12, 2023. The IMAX logo was prominently featured in the teaser, which debuted on october 2, 2022. The movie's debut was, however, delayed by almost five months. The IMAX logo was included on Adipurush's marketing materials and posters up to the first week of april 2023, but it was then removed. Furthermore, the IMAX branding was not there when the teaser debuted on May 9.
