With the promise of filming a movie, the actress allegedly borrowed 2.5 crore from ajay Kumar Singh, but she didn't pay him back and didn't even finish the movie. He filed a court motion against her and charged her with forgery and money laundering. On april 6, a warrant was issued for Ameesha Patel. In the event of the bounced cheque, her business partner Krunal Goomer was also charged.

The case began in 2018, when actress was accused of fraud and cheque bounce by Jharkhand-based film producer ajay Kumar Singh. "Earlier, despite numerous summonses from the court, she failed to show up. According to the complainant's attorney Vijaya lakshmi Srivastava, the court later issued a warrant for her arrest. Singh allegedly sent Rs 2.5 million to the actor's bank account in order to produce the film "Desi Magic," according to the complaint.
