Thanks to sandeep Reddy and the confrontational pre-teaser, Animal is unquestionably one of the most anticipated flicks. There appears to be a lot of misunderstanding lately regarding the movie's original august 11 release date.
Even though commercial negotiations are rumoured to be in the works, the distributors apparently obtained word that Animal has been delayed until december rather than debuting in August. According to rumours, the shot is over, but there is still a significant amount of post-production work to be done. The decision was made by the producers to release the film during the first week of December.

If Animal is released on august 11, it would also have to compete with Rajinikanth's Jailer and chiranjeevi Bhola Shankar. There is a lot of production and promotion work to be done before the august release, and the Animal team barely has a month to complete it. Moving their release date to december thus seems like the proper choice, and it will shortly be formally announced. The Animal team is quite confident in the storyline, and rumour has it that they hope it will become one of Bollywood's most iconic mafia dramas.
