SRK 'Very Professional' even though his Mom was critical...


Shah Rukh Khan may have had his first theatrical release with the 1992 movie Deewana, but director Ketan Mehta has admitted that SRK really shot for maya Memsaab before that. He recalled the occasion when they had to film in shimla even though Shah Rukh Khan's mother was in critical condition. Ketan claimed in an interview with bollywood Hungama that Shah Rukh Khan arrived in shimla to prevent postponing the film's shooting. shimla has already been arrived by the whole film crew. SRK was cheerful and upbeat despite his mother's severe condition, and the director commended him for his professionalism and work commitments.

Over a month after receiving a diabetes diagnosis, Lateef Fatima, the mother of SRK, passed suddenly in delhi in 1991. Just hours after being returned home from the hospital in 1981, his father Mir Taj Mohammed Khan passed away from throat cancer. Ketan added that because he had collaborated with Aziz and Saeed mirza on the television programme Circus, Shah Rukh had come highly recommended by them. The filmmaker was hunting for a novice when he noticed how contagious SRK's enthusiasm was.

We chose to cast him because we had an immediate affinity for him. The first scene we shot for was the snowstorm, he said. The director went on to say that SRK was enthusiastic and eager to succeed. maya Memsaab also starred deepa Sahi, Farooq Shaikh, and raj babbar in the key roles in addition to SRK. After Deewana, Chamatkar, Raju Ban Gaya Gentleman, and dil Aashna Hai, the film was released.
