JDS directors stayed away from voting: After knowing the hint of Manmul's defeat in the presidential election, JDS directors stayed away from the voting process. BJP-supported candidate SP Swamy participated in the voting process. 9 people including three officers, one nominal director member, and 5 elected directors were involved in the voting process. The JDS director is absent from the voting process despite submitting the nomination papers. Two JDS directors were disqualified from voting. It is known that JDS directors have armed themselves before the battle of election polls. Three candidates from JDS had submitted their nomination papers for the Manmul election. However, the Cooperation Department had issued an order disqualifying Vishwanath and Ramachandra of JDS even before the voting. That means the nomination of one out of three was rejected. In the later voting process, 9 votes were cast for Boregowda of Congress. All 9 people who participated in the voting process voted for Boregowda.
