The unveiling of a unique commemorative coin honouring the iconic NT Rama Rao's 100th birthday marks an important day for the whole telugu community. At the coin's unveiling ceremony at Rahstrapathi Bhavan, India's President, Smt. Droupadi Murmu, praised the icon for his life and times. Jr. ntr, however, was not present for it.
The President claimed that NTR's acting skills gave life to well-known characters like Lord Rama and others, and that this is why people began to admire him. She said that via his films, ntr even managed to convey the suffering of the regular people as well as societal issues. She also recalled how ntr opened a new chapter in indian politics and how his public welfare programmes are still remembered today. She claimed that the telugu people's memories of him will last forever.

The group shot was impressive since every member of the Nandamuri family—with the exception of Jr. ntr and kalyan Ram—was present at the ceremony. Instead of making this a family affair, some other well-known individuals who have collaborated with ntr and who are a part of his generation's political and entertainment elite ought to have made their presence known.
