Due to Salaar's postponement, the crazy rush at the theatres on september 15th subsided as numerous films rescheduled their release date to september 28th. Mark Anthony was the sole film still scheduled for release on september 15. To everyone's surprise, the movie's release has been put on hold. The judge halted Vishal's release from custody after Mark Anthony. vishal is having money problems with a major production company called Lyca Productions. In their court filing, Lyca claimed that vishal owed them Rs. 18 crore.

It is doubtful that lyca productions would be required to accept an out-of-court settlement because the court ordered vishal to pay Rs 15 crore in order to distribute the movie. It would be interesting to see if vishal can resolve the conflict in a week. Skanda, Pedakapu, and chandramukhi 2 are the only films that bypassed the september 15th release date for the previous weekend. Mark Anthony's predicament makes it seem like the festival weekend was in vain.

The upcoming film Mark Antony, starring actor vishal, is under harsh criticism for using computer-generated images (CGI) to further objectify and sexualize the late actress Silk Smitha. Popular south indian performer silk smitha was renowned for her glitzy roles in the 1980s and 1990s. vishal, SJ Suryah, Selva Raghavan, and other actors are featured in the teaser, which was published on september 5. The movie seems to be a time-traveling mobster drama.
