The highly anticipated rural action drama, ‘Peddha Kapu 1,’ has been generating significant attention recently. One of the key factors contributing to the buzz is undoubtedly the movie's title. The name suggested that the film is based on a caste prevalent in the Telugu-speaking states. However, the film's lead actor, newcomer Virat Karrna, asserts that ‘Peddha Kapu’ does not revolve around caste-related themes.
In a recent interview, Virat clarified that ‘Peddha Kapu’ isn't centered around caste-related issues, but instead focuses on the empowerment of an ordinary individual in a rural setting. According to Virat, the film primarily portrays the story of a young person's struggle against oppression within a village. The emerging actor also disclosed that ‘Peddha Kapu’ is set in the 1990s and unfolds in a village near Rajahmundry.
The newcomer actor also shared that he immersed himself in the character by spending significant time in a Godavari village and engaging with the local residents. pragathi Srivastava plays the female lead and, ‘Peddha Kapu 1’ is scheduled to hit theaters globally on september 29. The film is directed by Sreekanth Addala, known for his work on ‘Akhanda.’
Meanwhile, a grand pre-release event took place on saturday (Sep 23) ‘Peddha Kapu 1,’ which was attended by the film's cast and various other celebrities.
