During a recent pre-release event, kangana clarified that she isn't portraying the ghost of chandramukhi but rather the original character of Chandramukhi. While comparisons between her role andJyothika's in the prequel were brought up, kangana firmly asserted that she is embodying the authentic chandramukhi character and not interpreting any other role. kangana ranaut also revealed that actress lakshmi menon will be the one possessed by Chandramukhi's spirit, mirroring Jyothika's role from the previous installment.
