Shah Rukh Khan's most recent movie, "Jawan," from tamil director atlee Kumar, continues to dominate the box office and astounded the globe with its success. The movie has now joined a prestigious group and is hoping to set a few more milestones, as the business is undoubtedly waiting to see if it can hold its own against films like Baahubali 2 or not.

The hindi version of Jawan alone brought in more than 550 crores at the indian box office over the course of the weekend. If there is no significant competition from other releases, the movie will have been in theatres for 18 days and still has a long way to go. If we include the 'nett' earnings from the telugu and tamil versions, the movie may have already surpassed the 600 crore mark, with the gross earnings expected to exceed 1000 crores. In its roughly 140-day existence, Baahubali 2 made close to 1100 crores (net), which is the record that Pathaan and Jawan are currently attempting to surpass.

Baahubali 2 has a roughly 1700 crore global gross, therefore it would be interesting to see whether Jawan can accomplish such a significant achievement. Trade commentators are speculating if Jawan will surpass Baahubali 2 final receipts given that this Shah Rukh Khan, Nayantara, and deepika padukone blockbuster has achieved 500 in just 18 days, whereas films like Gadar, Pathaan, and Baahubali 2 took 24, 28, and 34 days, respectively. Keep checking back for updates.
