Actress Nayanthara recently launched her skincare brand, 9Skin. The actress took to social media last week to announce her new business venture, and the sale of the products began on september 29. While many have been congratulating the actress on her new beginnings, a few internet users trolled the actress as she promoted her skincare brand while wearing makeup.
Nayanthara recently posted a photo of her promoting one of her products on Instagram, and she soon faced backlash. Another comment read, "Why don't you guys promote the product without makeup to make it more authentic?" Internet users asked why a skincare brand is being promoted when the person is dressed in full make-up. Apart from this, internet users also took to social media to state that the products sold by the actress's brand were too expensive. While only five products from the skincare brand were launched, their prices ranged from Rs 1000 to Rs 1500. An internet user's comment read, "I didn't expect the price range, but seriously, why is it too high? every product above 1k.” Another one read, "9 Skin is not a brand... 9thara is the brand.”
The actress' make-up brand is not the first company owned by Nayanthara; the actress previously launched her own company called The Lipbalm Company.
