Kollywood actor Vijay's 'Leo' is helmed by director lokesh kanagaraj and the movie is set to release in theatres on october 19. Said to be part of the lokesh Cinematic Universe, the film features Vijay, Trisha, Arjun, Sanjay Dutt, gautham Vasudev Menon, priya Anand, Myskkin, Mansoor ali Khan, Mathew Thomas, sandy among others and anurag kashyap plays an important cameo role in the film. The music for the film is composed by anirudh ravichander and the film's trailer will be launched on october 5.

Vijay has signed up for his next tamil film with director Venkat Prabhu. Tentatively titled as 'Thalapathy 68', the movie stars Vijay in the lead role and reports suggest that actress Meenakshi Chaudhary has been roped in to play the role of female lead. It is also said that 90s actor Mohan or well known as Mic Mohan and actress priyanka Arul Mohan will also be joining the cast of the film.

The director now took to social media to share the official update about the film going on floors. In a tweet, venkat prabhu wrote, "And it began!! #Thalapathy68 with all ur love and wishes!!! This is gonna be a fun roller coaster ride !! And all pics and updates after namma #Leo release!! god is Kind."

Sources told that the film will go on floors by the first week of october, most likely on october 6 after a muhurat pujah. The film is produced by AGS Entertainment archana Kalapathi and the movie's music is composed by Yuvan shankar Raja. 'Thalapathy 68' marks the first collaboration of venkat prabhu and Vijay and the pre-production work of the film was completed a few weeks back and both the director and actor went to Los Angeles to work on the film's VFX. The film is slated to release in 2024.
