5-yr ban, chinmayi Sripaada resumes dubbing with Leo!!!


The Leo teaser for Thalapathy Vijay went viral on the internet. chinmayi Sripaada, a singer and voice actress, has since used her X account to thank the Leo team. After an absence of nearly 5 years, chinmayi has been dubbed for the role of trisha in the movie. This signals her return to tamil cinema. Yesterday's trailer for Leo was launched, and chinmayi congratulated producer Lalit Kumar and director lokesh kanagaraj for their work. I am immensely grateful," she said in her post about Mr lokesh kanagaraj and Mr Lalit for taking this stance. THAT IS MY VOICE FOR trisha IN LEO. And what's this? #Badass "I have dubbed in tamil, Telugu, and Kannada."


After initiating the Me Too movement in India, chinmayi made news in 2018. She was kicked out of the South indian Cine, television Artistes and Dubbing Artistes Union (SICTADAU) after speaking out in favour of the women who had named Radha Ravi, the dubbing union's president, in the Me Too movement. In 2018, chinmayi charged vairamuthu with sexual misconduct. The singer later admitted that there were multiple occasions when she came very close to landing a dubbing gig only to have it cancelled at the last minute.

In the meantime, lokesh Kanagaraj's film Leo's atmospheric universe was hinted at in the trailer. The film marks the second time Vijay and lokesh kanagaraj have worked together after 2021's Master.
