After 27 cuts of Censor Board of Film Certification, Akshay Kumar's 'OMG 2' was finally released in theaters on august 11. The film got a very good response from the audience in theaters and it also did huge business. Almost two months after the release of the film, akshay kumar has now broken his silence on the 27 scenes that were cut from 'OMG 2'.

Recently, during a group interview quoted by, Akshay said that he had no idea about the rules and hence when 'OMG 2' was asked for 27 cuts, he had no intention of fighting. Akshay said, “I don't want to fight. I have no idea about the rules. I didn't get into the rule book. If they thought it was an adult film, then... did you all think it was an adult film? Whoever we showed this film to, liked it very much. I have made it for the youth and I am happy that it is coming on Netflix and I am happy with it. Equally important is that people should know about it. ,


'OMG 2' was given an 'A' certificate by CBFC

‘OMG 2’ was put forward for review by the Central Board of Film Certification in July this year. Reportedly, the decision to review OMG 2 was taken to avoid the backlash that would emerge after Adipurush's release in june 2023. OMG 2 was then given an 'A - Adults Only' certificate from the Censor Board in india and was passed with 27 changes and several modifications. However, after reaching the theaters, OMG 2 impressed the audience and the film also did a business of more than Rs 100 crore.


Akshay was trolled even during 'Toilet: Ek prem Katha'

The ‘Mission Raniganj’ actor also recalled how he was let down during the 2017 film ‘Toilet: Ek prem Katha’. Akshay said, “When I made ‘Toilet: Ek prem Katha’, everyone asked me what kind of title it is. I was asked, 'Are you crazy?' Do you want to make a film on a toilet? Who makes a film on a subject like the toilet? Give me courage, at least this kind of film is being made and we are showing it to our children. It is time to change the society. Akshay further mentioned that he had to face a similar situation during the release of his 2018 drama Padman.
