Recently, in an interview, the 'Khiladi' actor talked about those early days when his family shifted from New delhi to mumbai and lived in a small room for a rent of Rs 100.
Akshay Kumar talked about his days of struggle
While talking to 'ANI', akshay kumar talked about his early days living in chandni Chowk, New Delhi. He said, "24 of us lived in the same house in chandni Chowk. We all slept in the same room. In the morning when we used to get up for a workout, everyone used to jump over each other to get out. " Kumar then recalled the time when he shifted from delhi to mumbai and started living in Sion Koliwada area, where he paid Rs 100 as rent.
He said, "I swear to God, there was not a single day when we did not smile or laugh. Now that we have money, sometimes we feel a little sad, but at that time, there was no reason to be sad. It didn't matter, we used to eat pulses, rice, cumin, potatoes, potatoes, cabbage, lady's finger, all this and we were happy." Kumar said his family used to skip meals on Saturdays to watch movies. “We used to miss breakfast to save money for tickets,” he recalled.
During the same conversation, Kumar revealed that he had failed in class 7 and had to re-examine a year later. This made his father very upset, who came to kill him. The actor said his father asked him, 'What do you want to become?' In response he said, 'I want to become a hero.' The 'OMG 2' star then wanted to become a martial arts teacher, but for now he only spoke hero lines.
