Therefore the bonding between the two was also good. In such a situation, while reminiscing about the actor on his birth anniversary (26 september 2023), mumtaz said, “The way he used to run, shake his head… I don't think people of this generation will be able to appreciate his style along with his acting. Or can carry the expressions.'' The actress further said that she had her personality and people accepted it and showered a lot of love on her.
When mumtaz did not want to work in 'Hare Rama Hare Krishna', now she told the reason
Let us tell you that in Mumtaz's first film, they were in the role of husband and wife, but when dev anand approached him for his second film, mumtaz rejected him. Regarding this she says, “He came to my house to meet me for 'Hare Rama Hare Krishna' and narrated the story. He wanted me to play the role of his sister in that film. I thought that after playing a married couple, wouldn't it look strange if we played a brother-sister in our second film? So, I refused to play his sister's role and asked to play his heroine's role.
