The son of sunny deol and dharmendra, Rajveer Deol, just made his bollywood debut in the love film Dono, which opened in theatres on october 6. Paloma, the daughter of Poonam Dhillon, made her acting debut in the movie, and Avnish S. Barjatya, the son of Sooraj Barjatya, made his directing debut.

The actor from Sholay recently contrasted his own liplock sequence from rocky Aur rani Kii prem Kahaani with his grandson's many kissing scenes from Dono during a durga puja event hosted by musician Kumar Sanu. "Our means for audience connection is film. When roles come my way, I take them because they speak to me deeply. dharmendra said, "I don't know how many kisses my grandson received in his movie, mere ek kiss ka shor hogaeya (my one kiss made so much noise)".

In the film directed by karan johar, dharmendra and Shabana Azmi, who portrayed the grandparents of ranveer singh and alia bhatt, were spotted in a private moment. The connection between the two veterans was praised in what has turned into one of the most talked-about sequences in bollywood this year.

"I am hearing that Shabana and I have surprised the audience with the kissing scene, and at the same time they have even applauded it," dharmendra said in a previous interview with News18 following the film's release. "I think people weren't expecting it and it came very suddenly which is why it created an impact. The last time I did a kissing scene was in Life In A Metro with Nafisa ali and at that time too people had appreciated it."
