Kerala police on tuesday arrested malayalam actor Vinayakan, known for his recent work in Rajinikanth’s Jailer, for allegedly creating a ruckus at ernakulam North police station in Kochi. The actor was later released on bail after a case was filed against him. As per the reports, the actor was called to the station as he was looking to dissolve a private dispute with his wife. Both parties were reportedly heard by the police, specifically in the presence of a female police inspector as per the laws.
According to The Free press Journal, vinayakan was disappointed as he presumed the decision was partially inclined towards his wife. Due to this, he stormed towards the police station and got into an argument with the said female inspector.
During the interaction with the media, vinayakan remained unaware of the reason he was arrested and detained by the police. Last night speaking with the media, the Circle Inspector of police Prathapachandran said that the actor was released on bail after a case was filed against him for a stir at a police station in an inebriated state. “A case was registered after a Policeman was assaulted and the station’s operations were obstructed. vinayakan had called the police to his residence last afternoon to resolve the family dispute. vinayakan was released on bail at 10:30 pm,” he added. This is not the first time vinayakan has been under the controversial radar. Earlier, the actor reportedly passed an “insensitive” remark on the demise of former cm Oommen Chandy which resulted in a mob assaulting him at his residence. Earlier this year, airline carrier indigo airlines had lodged a complaint against him for abusing a co-passenger onboard a Goa-Kochi flight.
