Karisma Kapoor and abhishek bachchan were one of the couples in bollywood who didn’t have a happy ending to their love story. As per reports, the duo got engaged but later broke up due to several reasons. Now, reflecting upon the after-effects of their break-up, director dharmesh darshan said that the actress appeared to be distracted and disturbed during the shoot of the 2002 film Haan Maine Bhi Pyaar Kiya.The movie was directed by dharmesh darshan and starred karisma kapoor and abhishek bachchan in the lead roles. It couldn’t perform well at the box office.
During an interview with Lehren Retro- a YouTube channel, Darshan talked about the shortcomings of this 2002 movie. He said that he regretted doing this movie as it was one of those films which the director handed over to their assistants. While talking about the lead character’s equation on set, he said, “It was the first and last time abhishek and Karisma did a film together. abhishek is a very sweet guy, but it wasn’t the same Lolo I’d seen during raja Hindustani.” Darshan had worked with Karisma in raja Hindustani which was a blockbuster at the box office.
The film faced criticism from movie critics and audiences after its release. amitabh bachchan also called it an “old-fashioned” love story movie. While reacting to that, dharmesh darshan said that even though amitabh bachchan didn’t like the movie, jaya bachchan loved it. She praised the aggression of the girl in the movie. The storyline was also loved by the veteran actress, especially the character of the lead heroine.
