Seema Sajdeh talked about divorce with sohail khan and, said- 'People said that I used her'
Recently, actor Sohail Khan's ex-wife seema Sajdeh talked about her divorce and also revealed that she received a lot of negative feedback after it. Bollywood actor sohail khan and his ex-wife seema Sajdeh tied the knot in 1998. The former couple divorced in 2022, ending their 24-year marriage. After almost a year, seema talked about her divorce. She also revealed that after being separated for many years, they got officially divorced last year (2022).
In a conversation with Shivani Pau on her podcast, seema Sajdeh was asked if there is still a stigma attached to divorce. To this seema said, "Of course it is. Especially in our indian culture. There is always a stigma attached to divorce." Recalling the negative comments she received after her divorce, she said that people had said about her that she used sohail khan and his family. Elaborating on this, seema says, "We live in the age of social media, so I used to get comments from people like, 'Oh, they used him (Sohail) and that family till then. Till then she needed. She has reached where she wanted to reach. Now she wants to be free.' I was like 'What just happened here?' But some people were good to me, so I focused on the good things. I'm very grateful for that."
Let us tell you that seema and Sohail were living separately for many years, while people thought that they were still together. Regarding this, seema said, “Nirvana was at that age when he did not want this. And there came a time when I had to decide because I had to choose between my marriage and my son. After all, my son was going on that path, which I was very scared of. So, one fine morning, I woke up and realized that I would either focus all my energy on saving this marriage or focus on my son.
He further said that then he made a choice. "When two people are in a situation where both of you are not happy and there is constant fighting, it always has a bad effect on the children," she said. He further said that it was the right decision which he had taken. Seema said that her son Nirvaan Khan talked to her a lot. She says, “When he went to university, he told me, 'Mom, I am fine now, you can move on.' And that's when I decided it was time for me to get a divorce. “Honestly, it’s just paperwork.” Seema and Sohail were living separately for a long time and they had officially divorced in december 2022. The former couple has two sons, Nirvana and Yohan.
