When Thalapathy Vijay's LEO was released, it had a successful box office opening. Although the conversation and reviews were mediocre, followers of the lokesh Cinematic Universe believe this to be the poorest installment ever. Even though LEO is sleek and elegant in both the making and action episodes, fans of the LCU have not been captivated by the tale, which revolves around LEO's identity. LEO mostly lacks the compelling tales and surprises found in the films khaidi and Vikram.

After granting LEO a formal admission into the LCU, lokesh kanagaraj is now turning his attention to Thalaivar 171 and the upcoming film in his cinematic universe. The demand stems from the belief that Dilli's tale has to be revealed in order for LCU to proceed successfully.

As a precursor to khaidi, lokesh kanagaraj has previously disclosed that he will be developing khaidi 2. It will disclose Dilli's lengthy backstory as well as the reason he had to enter jail.
