One may never be sure of the outcome once they go to court. prudhvi Raj, a thirty-year-old telugu actor, had to learn this lesson the hard way when the court mandated that he pay his ex-wife a substantial amount of alimony. He shared his response to the same on social media.

According to prudhvi, he was ordered by the court to provide his ex-wife, from whom he had previously separated, with alimony of Rs 8 lakh per month. prudhvi expressed his amusement at the court's ruling over the amount of alimony, saying that not even prime minister Narendra Modi's granddaughter will be able to afford such a high amount. The court's judgement states that this almost equals Rs 1 crore in alimony every year. It remains to be seen if prudhvi will be forced to pay the specified sum or whether he will contest this in a higher court.

Tollywood comedian prudhvi raj has been ordered by a family court in vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh, to provide his wife Srilakshmi with support of Rs 8 lakh per month. Srilakshmi stated in her appeal that the actor used to live with her in-laws in vijayawada following their marriage, and that her parents paid for all of his travel costs whenever he went to chennai to shoot films. Following their split, Srilakshmi begged prudhvi raj to give up the money in court. In 2017, Srilakshmi presented a petition to the family court.
