The pooja of his first film has been held today. Titled Phoenix (Veehaan), the film is directed by famous stunt master Anal Arasu Suriya is going to play an action hero in the film. Abhi Nakshatra, who is famous for acting in the Ayali web series, will be seen opposite Suriya in the film. Kaka Talbi Vignesh and varsha are also committed to playing the lead roles in the film.

Suriya said that his father did not give him the opportunity of the film, and one day when he was taking food to his father for shooting, Anal Arasu master invited him to act. That's why even on the poster they put only his name surya instead of surya Vijay Sethupathi.Vijay Sethupathi did not attend the pooja of the first movie in which his son is playing the hero. Answering the question raised by the reporters as to why, Anal Arasu master said that he had gone to malaysia for shooting and he could not come there due to being busy and he called him on video call to congratulate him.
