As previously stated, this Friday's release slate includes Payal Rajput's Mangalavaram, Mehreen's Spark, Hansika's My Name Is Sruthi, and kannada film Sapta Sagaralu Daati Side-B. And by the evening, a clear winner had emerged, and his name was "Mangalavaram".

Mangalavaram, directed by ajay bhupathi of rx100 fame, is a thriller mystery that deals with numerous levels of content such as child abuse, nymphomaniac conduct, and typical human emotions like love, father-daughter relationships, and so on. The film's final 30 minutes are highly intriguing, with many turns revealing the mystery of the killings in the town of Mahalakshmipuram.

The captivating background soundtrack by Ajneesh Loknath, mindblowing storyline, and outstanding visuals of the latter half hour of the film have kept many glued to their seats, making them forget about the film's lethargic first half. That caused the audience to leave the theatres with a full feeling, which is currently resulting in filled houses for Mangalavaram in numerous cities.

With all of the films in the competition failing owing to stale storylines, clearly this is an advantage for the ajay Bhupathi-directed picture, while audiences are also feasting on a fantastic performance by Paayal Rajput in the second half.
