Reportedly Salaar: Part 1 Ceasefire, starring Prabhas, is finally set to release on december 22 after multiple delays. The film will face a tough competition from Shah Rukh Khan’s Dunki, which is hitting the theatres on december 21. According to trade reports in The Times of India, Hirani’s first collaboration with SRK has sold about 5400 tickets across 320 locations and 915 shows. Just six days ago, they were at 30 tickets from 125 locations and 351 shows. The current box office collection is $75,039 with 11 days until the film’s release. The trend suggests that as the release date gets closer, ticket sales will pick up.
Salaar is directed by kgf fame prasanth neel and also features prithviraj Sukumaran as the antagonist and shruti haasan as the female lead. The film’s advance booking has already begun in Kerala. Reports suggest that Salaar is gearing up to conquer more than 300 screens across Kerala, while the team maintains the hype among the fans. Advance bookings have already kickstarted, with Kottayam’s popular theatre gearing up for an early start of fan shows at 6 am on the release day.
Dunki features an ensemble cast, with colourful characters portrayed by talented actors Boman Irani, Taapsee Pannu, Vicky Kaushal, vikram Kochhar, and Anil Grover, along with Shah Rukh Khan. A jio Studios, red Chillies Entertainment, and rajkumar hirani Films presentation, produced by rajkumar hirani and gauri khan Written by Abhijat Joshi, rajkumar hirani, and kanika Dhillon, Dunki is slated to release on december 2023.
