Ranbir Kapoor's film "Animal" has emerged as one of the major blockbusters of the year, rapidly approaching the coveted 1000 crore gross club. However, the movie has faced criticism for its depiction of violence, bloodshed, rape scenes, and brutality, particularly the controversial marital rape scene involving the character Abrar, played by bobby Deol.

Despite the backlash, bobby deol has defended the scene, asserting that it was crucial for establishing the villainous character in a brief span and contributing to the film's success. bobby deol expressed that if he hadn't performed that scene, the movie wouldn't have achieved such widespread acclaim. He justified the inclusion of the scene, stating that it was necessary to showcase the depth of the character's cruelty. 


Responding to concerns about the impact of such scenes on the audience, Deol emphasized that film makers draw inspiration from societal realities to create stories and characters, asserting that they are not encouraging such behaviour but merely portraying it. In a recent media interview, bobby deol revealed that he doesn't read movie reviews, considering them a "waste of energy." 


He discussed his role in "Animal," stating that the film reflects societal aspects, and he, as an actor, is not influenced by movies but rather by his observations of cruelty in real life. Deol defended the film, emphasizing that "Animal" aims to raise awareness about the existing cruelty in the world. Despite the criticism, the film has become a turning point in bobby Deol's career, following his successful performance in the web series "Ashram."
