In the issue of oil waste, they are blaming each other, saying it is not me and you are not. kamal haasan alleged that modern technology was not used in oil waste disposal. Due to the impact of Cyclone Mikjam, there were floods in various places in Chennai. Due to the flood water entering the houses, people's belongings were completely destroyed. At the same time, oil spillage from CPCL along with rain water inside houses in ennore and manali has shocked the public. Houses, gardens, vehicles have all been destroyed and mixed in the sea.

Due to this, the livelihood of fishermen is completely affected. In the ennore estuary near Tiruvottiyur in North Chennai, the sewage from the factory spilled over the estuary area, affecting more than 20 fishing villages, causing a lot of dead fish and the livelihood of the fishermen.  After this, the work of removing the oil spills is going on. There has also been opposition to the use of fishermen instead of experts in this work. In this situation, People's Justice Center President Kamala Haasan visited the oil spilled areas in the ennore estuary by boat along with social activists and fishermen association executives. From Kattukuppam area he went to the mouth by boat and visited the oil fields. Speaking to the media following this, kamal haasan said, I have been here many times. The impact is greater than in the past. He said that there is no sign of disposal of oil waste as per the court order.

In the issue of oil waste, they are blaming each other, saying it is not me and you are not. Modern technology is not used in oil waste disposal. There are no waste disposal experts here. The fishermen themselves are removing the waste. It is inhumane to give a mere bathroom bucket to the oil spill removal crew. Strict legal action is required in this matter. He said that there will be fear if strict legal action is taken.
