Reports circulated that the producers of "Salar" had banned PVR, Inox, and Mirage theatres in some states due to alleged favouritism toward Shah Rukh Khan's "Dunki." We want to make it clear that these are all false stories. SALAAR is one of the most awaited films of this year. It is releasing pan india on PVR INOX Cinemas on the scheduled date i.e. 22nd december 2023." This announcement indicates that PVR has resolved any differences with the makers of "Salar," Hombale.
Initial reports suggested that there were discrepancies in the PVR system, leading to accusations of unfair treatment toward "Salar" in terms of theatre distribution compared to "Dunky." PVR Pictures CEO Gianchandani responded to these claims by emphasizing the mutual respect between exhibitors and producers and acknowledging that commercial differences are common in the industry. He reassured that any issues would be resolved soon.
