It has been reported that 'The Archies,' featuring an ensemble cast of top bollywood stars, received significant acclaim following its recent release. Helmed by director Zoya Akhtar, the film premiered on Netflix on december 7 and garnered positive reviews from both critics and bollywood celebrities who attended the premiere.
However, bollywood actor manoj bajpayee recently expressed a contrasting opinion about the film, stating that he did not like it after watching it with his daughter. Manoj shared his viewpoint, revealing that he watched about 50 minutes of the film and found it unappealing. He mentioned that his daughter, too, did not enjoy the movie.
Reflecting on his childhood, Manoj recalled spending time with stories like Motu Patlu and ram Balaram, and he mentioned having read only one book related to Archies. Notably, he highlighted his disappointment with the characters of Veronica and Betty, expressing that they are very memorable. Following the viewing, Manoj revealed that he sternly instructed his daughter to speak in hindi like the characters in the film and conveyed his frustration about not spending quality time together.
Directed by Zoya Akhtar, 'The Archies' is based on characters from the popular 'Archies' comics. The movie marked the debut of star kids such as Suhana Khan, Khushi Kapoor, and agastya Nanda. While the film received praise for their debut performances, the actors are now gearing up for subsequent projects, with Khushi Kapoor set to be introduced by karan Johar's dharma productions next year.
