Rajinikanth achieved massive success recently with Nelson Dilipkumar’s Jailer. He is now focusing on his next project, Vettaiyan. It is currently in production in Tuticorin (Tamil Nadu). A viral image of Rajinikanth and Fahadh Faasil on the film’s set has garnered attention. The high-budget film is directed by jai Bhim fame TJ Gnanavel. Rajinikanth has been actively filming for Vettaiyan in various locations including Trivandrum, Tirunelveli, and Tuticorin. The latest reports indicate that the current shooting is taking place in Tuticorin, where a viral photo captures Rajinikanth and Fahadh Faasil during a scene, with individuals on the set providing umbrellas for the stars. The leaked photograph reveals a moment from the film’s shooting, depicting a momentary break between shots. “Most probably a montage, wholesome,” speculated a fan about the scene, while another X user wrote, “Thalaivar and FaFa in the same frame!!”, X user posted.
Rajinikanth has temporarily suspended the filming of Vettaiyan, following the demise of actor-politician Vijayakanth. Upon receiving the news of his friend’s passing, Rajinikanth decided to pause the shoot and return to Chennai. Trade analyst Ramesh bala shared this update on his social media account, stating: “#SuperstarRajinikanth cancelled his movie #Vettaiyan shoot in Nagercoil and is rushing back to chennai to pay homage to Captain #Vijayakanth.” Fans of the actor lauded him for the gesture under the post, writing, “Great gesture by Rajini.” Another fan wrote, “It’s his dear friend, as a Thalaivar fan I would be disappointed if he didn’t”, Ramesh bala tweeted.

Superstar Rajinikanth will share the screen with amitabh bachchan, Fahadh Faasil, Rana Daggubati, Manju Warrier, Ritika Singh, and Dushara Vijayan in this venture titled Vettaiyan. Produced by Lyca Productions, the film serves as Rajinikanth’s 170th cinematic venture, with anirudh ravichander as the composer, SR Kathir as the cinematographer, and Philomin raj as the editor.
