Prabhas-starrer "Salaar" experienced unexpected box office collections on its opening day, despite limited promotional efforts and the star-director combination having a moderate impact on the film's openings. While the movie directed by prashant Neel received positive feedback from a segment of fans, particularly for its well-executed action scenes, some critics noted that certain improvements, such as precautions in the background score during the second half, could enhance the overall viewing experience.
The film's collections were decent in the first weekend but showed a decline afterward. As of january 1, "Salaar" has reportedly garnered a share of around 145 crores in the two telugu states. While it has collected over 20 crores in Karnataka, the film's performance in tamil Nadu and kerala fell below expectations. On a positive note, the movie has seen solid collections in the Rest of india (Hindi) and overseas markets, crossing 60 crores in the latter.
In terms of global figures, "Salaar" has achieved a gross collection of 578 crores, with share collections of 312 crores. The overall business of the movie stands at 345 crores. To be considered a success at the box office, the film needs to reach a share collection of 347 crores. Therefore, the film requires an additional 34 crores in share collections to meet its intended target. The coming weeks will determine whether "Salaar" can achieve this goal and solidify its box office success.
