The lyricist's statement is garnering tremendous headlines.

Veteran lyricist javed akhtar has admitted that the blockbuster response to 'Animal' is alarming. Recently Javed participated in the Ajanta Ellora international Film festival (AIIFF). Addressing the dignitaries, Javed said that the audience should not be held responsible for the success of 'Animal' but the producers.

Javed Akhtar, citing Ranbir Kapoor's controversial 'Lick my shoes' scene, said, 'If there is a film in which a man tells a woman to lick my shoes. If a man says what is wrong with slapping a woman, if that picture is a super-duper hit, then it is a very dangerous thing.

Javed further gave the example of the popularity of the song 'Choli Ke Peeche Kya Hai' from 'Khalnayak' and said that the audience should choose what content they want to consume and reject. javed akhtar added, 'People have started telling me, sir, how songs are being made these days. Songs are composed by 6-7 people together. Choli Ke Pehchi Kya Hai was written by one man, composed by two men, danced by 2 girls, and shot by one cameraman. These 8-10 people are a bit of a problem. The problem is that this song had become a super hit in society.

Javed Akhtar further said, 'Crores of people liked this song. This scares us. people tell me that they are not liking the recent songs, but only 5-6 people are responsible for making the songs. The song 'Choli Ke Peech Kya Hai' has been composed by 8-10 people. These are not the real problems. The real problem is that the song became a superhit, millions of people liked it.
