The resounding success of the film 'Indian' directed by the South Sensation shankar and featuring Universal hero Kamal Haasan is still remembered as a milestone in indian cinema. Nearly two decades ago, the movie achieved remarkable box office success, grossing Rs. 50 crore and establishing new records. Now, the much-anticipated sequel titled 'Indian 2' is in the making.
Despite a five-year hiatus since Shankar's last film '2.0', 'Indian 2' has faced several delays in production. Initially, a major fire incident on set caused a temporary halt to filming. Shankar, in the interim, directed 'Game Changer' with ram Charan. After completing 'Game Changer,' the shooting of 'Indian 2' faced further interruptions, causing delays.
The latest update reveals that 'Indian 2' recently concluded a shooting schedule in the vicinity of Vijayawada. The makers are now gearing up to officially announce the film's release date on Republic Day, january 26. Shankar's ambitious plan includes releasing both 'Indian 2' and 'Indian 3' within the year. To achieve this, 'Indian 2' must hit theatres in the summer, paving the way for 'Indian 3' later in the year.
Apart from Kamal Haasan, the film boasts a star-studded cast including Siddharth, Kajal Aggarwal, rakul preet singh, bobby Simha, and SJ Surya. Anirudh Ravichandran is handling the music composition for this project, jointly produced by lyca productions and red Joint Films. Fans are eagerly awaiting the official announcement of the release date, anticipating the cinematic spectacle 'Indian 2' is set to deliver.
