During the episode when Navya talked about women making sacrifices for the sake of their families, Jaya objected. The veteran actress talked about her experience as a mother.
She said, "I remember when I stopped working and everyone would say, 'Oh, she sacrificed her career for her marriage and kids', but it wasn't like that. Being a mother and wife I was really happy. I enjoyed the role more than what I was getting to do (in films), which was a repetition of the same thing. It was not a sacrifice at all."
Taking Jaya's point forward, Navya also talked about how people think that women's empowerment is only about women who fight for their careers. However, she said that one should not look down on women who choose to be housewives rather than becoming CEOs of a company.
To this, the veteran actress had said, "I mean, if today, whether it's me or you or Shweta or any other woman with whom we are interacting, who has a voice, she has got it because Our Mothers have given us this."
