Aditya Chopra will be leading an all-female spy film starring alia bhatt and Sharvari Wagh. Quite a lot of speculations have been made about the film, days after it was reported that Aditya Chopra’s yash Raj Films (YRF) has roped in director Shiv Rawail for the upcoming spy movie project. According to the latest reports, alia bhatt and Sharvari Wagh’s upcoming spy-thriller might have a connection with Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan and if true, it will turn out to be an epic crossover ever.
Alia Bhatt and Shah Rukh Khan worked together in the 2016 film Dear Zindagi. According to a bollywood Life report, the makers are trying to build a connection with the storyline of Pathaan. The report further suggests that alia and Sharvari’s characters might be shown as Pathaan’s protégés. This is the first time that yash Raj Films will be conceptualising a spy film with a female-centric cast. Its previous films like War, Pathan, and tiger had male protagonists like Hrithik Roshan, Shah Rukh Khan, and salman Khan.
While it is being said that alia and Sharvari have already started preparing for their roles, the film is yet to go on floors. It will be directed by Shiv Rawail, known for helming the Netflix project, The Railway Men. alia bhatt is presently on a roll on the career front. She was last seen in karan Johar’s rocky Aur rani Kii prem Kahaani alongside Ranveer Singh, for which she also received the Best Actress Award at the Filmfare.
