Mega hero Ram Charan has never had an opening scene as impactful as the one he did for SS Rajamouli's rrr in recent memory. To cut to the chase, he mentions in his introduction that he beats over two thousand indians who are standing outside a delhi police station. Actors claim that Charan, who plays a police officer at a time of british control, has serious reservations about this scene.

This time, rajamouli wanted something larger for Charan, since he faced 100 people in the legendary fight with Magadheera, and had 2000 people present for the "RRR" entrance scene. It has emerged that Charan is concerned about the reaction of the public to one indian defeating another indian, since that might foster animosity towards him. Despite the beginning's harsh tone, rajamouli is reportedly sure that Ramaraju's character arc will pay off handsomely in the end.

Senthil Kumar, the cinematographer, disclosed all of this because he thought that this specific moment gave the impression that they were doing something that had never been seen on an indian screen before. Action scenes need a lot of time to shoot, and this one took over 30 days to shoot at a specially constructed set in Ramoji Film City. The difficulty is in capturing Charan's expression, which is more akin to that of a meditating person who is mechanically but not emotionally defeating his fellow Indians. Thanks to a thorough pre-production preparation, we were able to capture it properly," he explains.
