The popular TV star suffered a back injury when a large plywood board fell on her while she was shooting an important scene for her tv show.
Deepika injured her upper back while shooting for a dream sequence. While she was shooting for the scene at Mumbai's Film City, a large plywood board fell on her due to strong winds. According to media reports, the 'Diya Aur Baati Hum' actress started screaming in pain and her co-star Naman immediately rushed to her aid. The report states that the actress continued shooting despite the pain, but stopped shooting due to increased swelling in her back.
The makers ordered an ice pack from a nearby studio where the dance show was being shot. After applying the ice pack, deepika Singh somehow shot as many scenes as she could. However, when the pain increased, she had to leave the set. After shooting as many scenes as she could, she went home.
Earlier, the actress had suffered a blood clot in her eye due to extreme heat while shooting for Mangal Lakshmi. She continued shooting even after the blood clot as the makers did not have a bank of episodes and had to complete an important wedding sequence.
