Initially, Justice Sangeeta K. Vishen had barred the film's release on june 13. However, after watching the movie, she permitted Netflix to stream it. 'Maharaj' features Aamir Khan's son Junaid, jaideep ahlawat, and Sharvari Wagh in key roles.
Originally set to release on june 14, 'Maharaj' was delayed when the high court stopped Netflix from streaming it. This decision followed a petition by a group of businessmen who argued that the film could offend the religious sensibilities of the Vaishnav community.
