The 48-year-old actress shared that she is very proud of being a single parent to Renee and Alisah and promoting self-love.

Sushmita said, "I want to pat myself on the back every day as a mother. I am not someone who needs to be told how good a mother you are. I already know that." Sushmita described her experience as 'challenging' but 'satisfying'. She recalled that her motherhood journey had been quite difficult, but she handled everything on her own.

Sushmita further adds, "It was completely challenging because I did it alone and so the notion that 'Oh! She is Sushmita Sen and she can do it is not true." However, Sushmita also said that every day is a learning experience for her.

Let us tell you that sushmita sen adopted her elder daughter Renee in 2000 and her younger daughter Alisha in 2010 at the age of 24 without getting married. Renee will turn 25 in september this year, while Alisha is 14 years old.

Talking about Sushmita Sen's career, she made her bollywood debut with Mahesh Bhatt's 1996 film 'Dastak'. Her other memorable films include 'Biwi No. 1', 'Sirf Tum', 'Main Hoon Na', 'Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya' and more. Recently, she was seen in the third season of 'Aarya'.
