The film Maharaj starring Junaid Khan and Jaideep Ahlawat has finally been released after many obstacles. The film is getting a lot of love from the audience. However, it had to face many difficulties before its release. The film was temporarily banned after objections from Hindu organizations. Later, after the clean chit from the gujarat court, the way for the release of the film was cleared. During an interview recently, the director of the film Siddharth P Malhotra spoke openly on the whole matter.

In a new interview with ANI, siddharth p malhotra shared his experience and said that everything was going according to plan till the release date came. He said, "The film is the story of an unsung hero, which needs to be toldIt is the whole journey of a hero who was fighting for the rights of women." He said that the script was ready and had also been approved. It was narrated to Junaid and Jaideep Ahlawat as well as other actors. However, the timing of the film's release was quite painful for them.

The director also recalled how Maharaj was criticized even though it was made purely with the intention of not harming any community. Recalling the time of release, the director said, "It was very painful because a different opinion was already formed about the film. I cried a lot. I cried. My father Prem Kishan, my mother, everyone came home and supported me," he added.

The Maharaj director said that there is no negative aspect in the film and it is pro-religion and pro-humanity. Talking about the contribution of the cast and crew in the film, siddharth said that he is happy that Junaid and Jaideep are being recognized for their work. "The writing is being appreciated, the dialogues are being quoted, my work is also being appreciated," he added.
