In the shared video, Hina Khan wrote a long caption, reading which everyone is seen getting emotional. The actress wrote- 'You can hear my mother crying. Blessing me when they prepared themselves to see something they never dared to imagine.'

Hina further wrote- 'For everyone out there, especially women who are fighting the same battle, I know it's difficult, I know that for most of us, our hair is the crown we never take off. But what if you are facing such a tough battle that you have to lose your hair - your pride, your crown? If you want to win, you have to make some difficult decisions and I choose to win.'

'The spirit must remain intact'

Hina further wrote- 'I have decided to give myself every possible chance to win this battle. I want to give up my beautiful hair before it falls. I did not want to endure this mental breakdown for several weeks. So, I chose to give up my crown because I realized that my real crown is my courage, my strength, and my love for myself and yes I have decided to use my hair to make a good wig for this thing. Hair will come back, eyebrows will come back, wounds will heal, but the soul must remain intact.'

Hina's mother became very upset after seeing her

In the video of her haircut, Hina further wrote, 'I am recording my story, my journey, to ensure that my efforts to embrace myself reach everyone. If my story can make even one day better for someone, then it is worth it. Also, this day could not have been complete without those people who have supported me through thick and thin... My people- rocky Jaiswal, my mother, and Dwayesh loved the haircut, thank you, and love you... May god reduce our pain and give us the strength to win. Please pray for me.'
