Following the wedding, they hosted a star-studded reception at the restaurant, Bastian. In a joint interview with ETimes, the newlyweds shared insights about their wedding. Zaheer also discussed how he nervously asked for Sonakshi's hand in marriage and his conversation with her father, veteran actor Shatrughan Sinha.

Zaheer recalled, "I went to their house, and I was nervous because I had never had a one-on-one chat with him (Shatrughan Sinha) before. Once we started talking, we discussed a million things and became like friends. I told him I wanted to marry his daughter. Despite his intimidating image, he turned out to be genuine, chilled out, and one of the sweetest people I’ve met in a long time."

Sonakshi on her father being supportive 

Sonakshi added, "I was nervous when I told my father about us. I didn't know how he would react, so I tried to play it cool. I asked him, 'Aren’t you worried about my marriage because you haven’t asked me anything about it?He replied, 'I have asked your mom to ask you.When I mentioned Zaheer, he said, 'I also read about it. You guys are grown-ups; if the groom and bride are ready, what will the judge do?I realized then how chilled out and supportive my dad is about our relationship."

Sonakshi's brothers on attending her wedding

Regarding reports that Sonakshi's brothers, Luv and Kussh Sinha, skipped her wedding, Kussh recently dismissed these claims. He confirmed his presence at the wedding and emphasized that it was a ‘sensitive’ time for their family, stating that just because he wasn't seen doesn't mean he didn't attend.


Meanwhile, Luv hinted at his absence, sharing an article by Telegraph India. He explained, "Why I chose not to attend. Running an online campaign against me on a false premise won’t change the fact that for me, my family will always come first."
