It relates the tale of a labour immigrant from kerala who is kidnapped and sold into slavery to herd goats in a Saudi Arabian desert. In addition to serving as a co-producer, AR rahman wrote the movie's soundtrack.
Along with Talib Al Balushi, Rik Aby, amala Paul, Shobha Mohan, and jimmy Jean-Louis and K. R. Gokul, the film's lead cast also features prithviraj Sukumaran. Based on a true tale, the film is an adaptation of the same-titled Malayali book.
