Recently, the film's director Nag Ashwin has shared important information about the second part.

Director nag ashwin told Hindustan Times that he hopes that one will not have to wait long to see the second part. It is expected that it will take less time to shoot the second part and deliver it to theaters as compared to the first part. When 'Kalki 2898 AD' was being shot, a little bit of its second part was also shot. nag ashwin said that about 20 days of shooting had already been done. However, there is a long way to go to work on many aspects of the film to complete it.

'Kalki 2898 AD' has earned Rs 759.5 crore at the domestic box office. At the same time, its worldwide earnings have crossed Rs 1,000 crore. The film earned Rs 12.1 crore in the fifth week. It stars amitabh bachchan, Prabhas, deepika Padukone, Disha Patani, and Kamal Haasan, and SS Rajamouli, dulquer salmaan and Vijay Deverakonda were seen doing cameos. The film was released on june 27, 2024.
