Screening of Sri Aurobindo: 'Sri Aurobindo Beginning of a Spiritual Journey' will be screened, know the time and date

On the 152nd birth anniversary of Sri Aurobindo, the screening of 'Sri Aurobindo Beginning of a Spiritual Journey' based on his struggle-filled life is being held at the C.D. Deshmukh Auditorium of india International Centre, New Delhi.

Sri Aurobindo was an indian philosopher, yogi, Maharishi, poet, and Indian nationalist. He was also a journalist who edited newspapers like Bande Mataram. He joined the indian movement for independence from british colonial rule. He was one of the influential leaders of the 1910s. On the occasion of the 152nd birth anniversary of eminent philosopher and spiritual leader Sri Aurobindo Ghosh, a special screening of the film 'Sri Aurobindo: Beginning of a Spiritual Journey' is being organized at india International Centre. This screening will start on august 14 at 6:30 pm at C.D. Auditorium, New Delhi. The film will be directed by producer-director Suraj Kumar at Deshmukh Auditorium.

Story of the film

The film 'Sri Aurobindo Ek Aadhyaatmik Yatra' is a film that sheds light on an important chapter in Sri Aurobindo's life. The film is based on the entire year spent in Alipore Jail after Sri Aurobindo's arrest on May 5, 1908 (known as the 'Alipore Bomb Case'). The british government had made several attempts to implicate Sri Aurobindo in revolutionary activities, but they failed, due to which he was released from jail on May 6, 1909. The film has been shot in Alipore Jail itself.
