KBC 16: 'I believe you will hold my hand...,' amitabh bachchan gets emotional as KBC 16 opens with a bang

Amitabh Bachchan bid an emotional farewell to the popular quiz show 'Kaun Banega Crorepati' last year. However, the megastar has returned to host KBC due to fan demand. The 16th season has kicked off. The show premiered on sony Entertainment television at 9 pm on Monday. Big B once again graced the host's chair. He also appeared emotional as he returned with the 16th season.

As soon as Big B reached the stage, people welcomed the actor-host with thunderous applause. amitabh then sat down on his seat and started his welcome speech in hindi while looking at the camera. He said, 'Today a new season has started, but today I am at a loss for words and that is because no word can express my gratitude for your love.'

The megastar of the century further added, 'I have no words to thank you for your prayers, which gave a new life to Kaun Banega Crorepati, which lit up this platform again, and which reunited a family and allowed me to appear among you.'

Amitabh said, 'I salute the people of this country for the reconstruction and rebirth of KBC. This platform is yours, this game is yours and this season is only yours. To honor your love, I will appear before you with twice the hard work. And I am confident that you will keep holding my hand and reassuring me.' While saying all this, Big B was seen getting emotional.

In the first episode of 'KBC 16', contestant Utkarsh Bakshi won the first round of Fastest Fingers First to reach the hot seat. He managed to play up to a question worth Rs 25 lakh, but he failed to answer the stake question, so he could only take home the prize money of Rs 3 lakh 20 thousand. One of the new changes in the quiz shows this season is 'Dugnaastra', through which the amount won by the contestant will be doubled upon answering the 'Super Question' correctly. However, the twist is that the contestant will not have any option to choose the correct answer.
