Secondly, this film was going to require a very high budget. Whatever expenditure we incurred, most of it was spent on film production. When we went to shoot in mahabaleshwar, we traveled in economy class. rajamouli and the entire unit stayed together in the same lodge.'

'We ate only vegetarian food. This is not a normal thing. We did not want such an environment where some people get non-veg and some get veg. We saved a lot of expenses. Along with this, we were thinking how to take it to the hindi audience. How to find a market. We needed someone who could target the hindi audience.'
